You can prepare a wide variety of dishes from beans.
It is often used boiled or canned as an addition to any side dish or main dish.
Therefore, we recommend a wonderful recipe for Bulgarian beans with the addition of smoked meats and tomatoes.
Ingredients:
• any boiled beans - 0.4 kg;
• onions - 3-4 pcs.;
• garlic - 3 cloves;
• fresh carrots - 1 pc.;
• smoked lard - 300 grams;
• smoked sausages – 300 grams;
• tomato paste – 200 grams;
• ground black pepper and peas;
• red paprika;
• ground coriander;
• ground cloves;
• rock salt;
• vegetable oil.
First, you should boil white or red beans.
Then pour oil into a hot frying pan, add chopped onion, garlic, carrots, pieces of smoked lard with layers of meat and smoked sausages and fry until done.
Next, you need to add ground black pepper and peas, bay leaf, a pinch of ground coriander, red paprika and the rest of the spices.
Boiled beans should be placed in a saucepan with a thick bottom, add a pinch of salt, fry and pour in chicken broth or water so that it does not completely cover the beans.
The pan can now be sent to simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
After this, you need to add tomato paste, spices, a pinch of sugar, unfried sausages cut into rings to the dish, and then continue to simmer for another 20-30 minutes.
After cooking, the finished dish needs to stand for a while to thicken and cool.
