How to Wash Apples Properly: Tap Water Is Not Enough

You have probably noticed how large, red and beautiful the apples are on the shelves of modern stores.

However, one should not assume that such attractiveness is given to fruits by nature.

To help the product find a buyer faster, both retailers and chain supermarkets use wax treatment.

Thanks to the thin wax layer, the apples shine and shimmer beautifully, making you want to try them as soon as possible.

This is why simply washing fruits under running water will not make the fruits fit for consumption.

To get rid of wax, a large amount of which is unlikely to have anything to do with the benefit of the human body, you should remove the wax with hot water.

For convenience, place the apples in a colander, which should be placed in a bowl, and pour hot water over them.

Don't be alarmed if you see a whitish coating, this is the protective substance, the remains of which will need to be removed with a sponge or cloth.
