No need to cook: an unusual way to prepare aromatic, crumbly and healthy buckwheat

The standard method of preparing buckwheat porridge is boiling.

However, buckwheat does not require long-term heat treatment.

Just pour boiling water over the cereal, and the dish will be ready in a couple of hours. You don't need to put the pan on the stove.

Considering the fact that the product will not be in boiling water for a long time, it will retain its crumbly texture and many useful properties.

The porridge will not turn into mush, and will not lose a significant portion of vitamins and beneficial microelements.

The only downside is that the cereal will be a bit tough. However, the dish will be so aromatic and healthy that this drawback can be ignored. In addition, many gourmets will like this dish more than boiled cereal.

However, to achieve the desired result, you need to follow the recipe.

Recipe for buckwheat without cooking

You need to take a deep container and pour a glass of cereal into it. Next, remove the solid particles, and then pour cold water over the product to rinse.

The washed buckwheat should be poured into a saucepan, salted and filled with two glasses (about half a liter) of boiling water.

The container with the contents should be covered with a lid and wrapped in a towel, blanket or quilt.

The resulting “device” should be left for a couple of hours: all this time the cereal will steam.

After the procedure is completed, the porridge will be ready to eat. Most likely, there will be no water left in the pan: all the liquid will be absorbed into the cereal.

You can add a piece of butter to the dish. Both adults and children will be pleased with this crumbly, pleasantly smelling and incredibly tasty side dish.
