If you have ever been to a market where walnuts are neatly piled among vegetables, fruits, spices and other goods, you have probably wondered: how do the traders manage to break the nuts so deftly?
The kernel halves look completely whole, which makes them even tastier.
It turns out that you don't need any special skills to make a cracked nut look like a work of art.
All you need for this is a strong food-grade polyethylene bag, into which you can place the fruits.
Now tie the bag in a knot and put it on the freezer shelf.
The nuts should be kept in the cold for about an hour; if you come across particularly large specimens, increase the time spent in the freezer to an hour and a half.
All that remains is to take a hammer, which may not be the heaviest, and lightly hit the side of the nut, trying to hit the place where the shell is connected.
After such simple manipulations, the shell will instantly crack, and the core will remain whole - you will only have to divide it into halves, and the “mission” can be considered complete.
