How to Properly Store Bananas: This Will Prevent the Fruits from Darkening

To avoid having to go to the store every day to buy groceries, many housewives buy food in bulk.

This applies not only to oil, cereals and other groceries, but also to vegetables and fruits.

And if there is no need to worry about hypothetical potatoes and beets - they will easily last for a week, or even a couple of months in suitable conditions, then with fruits, in particular, with bananas, the situation is somewhat different.

It often happens that the skin of these fruits turns black the very next day after purchase.

You must admit that eating such fruits does not bring much pleasure.

And although you shouldn’t throw them away – blackened bananas can be used, for example, in baking – it wouldn’t hurt to find out how to store fruit so that it retains its attractive appearance for a long time.

It turns out that it is enough to tightly tie the stalk of one banana (or a whole bunch) with polyethylene.

This simple trick will prevent fruit from turning dark prematurely.
