What kind of porridge to cook with pumpkin: a recipe worth attention

Pumpkin is a truly irreplaceable ingredient in the diet. It is used not only for making soups and porridges, but also goes well with meat.

But if we return to porridges, then usually millet and rice are used, and they are cooked in milk. This is not the only option that is healthy for the body.

Pumpkin with semolina will seem no less healthy and tasty.

To prepare you will need:

  • 300 grams of pumpkin pulp;
  • 2 tablespoons semolina;
  • 1 glass of milk;
  • 30 g butter;
  • 1 tbsp sugar;
  • 1 teaspoon salt.

How to cook

Fill the pan with cold water, pour in the milk and bring it to a boil.

Then you need to put the pumpkin, cut into cubes (the smaller, the faster it will cook), into the boiling milk.

Continue to cook the vegetable over low heat for 15 minutes, then add sugar and salt.

Once the pumpkin is cooked, it can be chopped with a blender, then add semolina and cook, stirring, for 10 minutes.

When ready, add butter, let the porridge sit for a bit and serve.
