To prepare the dish, you will need two main ingredients: potatoes and foil. The potatoes need to be washed well and dried with a paper towel or napkin.

As for the foil, the side of the foil does not have a decisive influence. The main thing is that the foil should be thick.

Some housewives believe that it is better to wrap in foil with the gloss inside, so that the heat does not escape and, reflecting, warms the product even more. But this is a personal choice. Moreover, there is foil that has a gloss on both sides.

In addition, much depends on how and what you bake. If the product does not need to be simmered, then you can leave a little space for juice, and if the product is simmered for a long time, it should be tightly wrapped in several layers.

Potatoes are also tightly wrapped in foil when cooking. If these are large potatoes, then baking takes place in three stages:

  • the first 10 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees;
  • next 15 minutes – 170-180;
  • finally brought to readiness at a temperature of approximately 150.

This cooking option allows you to bake the potatoes evenly, and they turn out exceptionally tasty.
