Maslenitsa is not just a holiday of eating pancakes, but also a symbol of the end of winter, which is no less pleasing than pancakes.

Usually, thin pancakes are baked for Maslenitsa, which are popularly called nalistniki. There are also pancakes made with kefir, and yeast pancakes, which go great with jam or preserves!

To prepare you will need:

  • 1 kg flour;
  • 6 glasses of milk (water);
  • 2 eggs;
  • 2 tbsp. sugar;
  • 1.5 tsp salt;
  • 40 g yeast.

How to cook

The yeast must be dissolved in 2 glasses of warm milk (water).

When ready, sift 500 g of flour into the mixture, mix and leave under a towel in a warm place for the dough to rise.

Next, add eggs, salt, and sugar to the dough, mix everything until smooth, and add the remaining flour.

Now all that remains is to knead the dough, add warm milk (water) and again leave the dough in a warm place under a towel until it rises.

Once it rises, the dough is stirred and left to rise again.

After this, the dough is mixed and you can bake pancakes or fritters in a heated frying pan with vegetable oil.

It's best to serve these pancakes with jam!

Bon appetit!
