Cook without soaking

1. First, you need to rinse the cereal thoroughly, after which you can start cooking, although it will take longer to cook.

2. Fill a suitable saucepan with water, add the washed grains, set to cook and bring to a boil. Then cook the pearl barley on low heat under a lid for 40 minutes.

3. At this time, you don’t need to stir the porridge; add salt and other ingredients to taste at the end of cooking.

You won’t have to add water if the proportions are observed and the porridge is cooked on low heat.

If after 40 minutes the porridge is still not ready, you can boil it for another 10 minutes, then wrap it up and let it sit.
