How to Make Homemade Caramel: A Hundred Times Tastier Than Condensed Milk and Chocolate Spread

Homemade caramel can be used to make baked goods, candies, or simply eaten with a spoon.

It is very easy to prepare this sweet treat, even a child can handle it. You only need three ingredients.

Products:

  • sugar – 90 g;
  • cream (fat content 33%) – 90 g;
  • butter (82% fat) – 70 g.

Additional ingredients are needed if the caramel is to be used to make a cake. In this case, you also need to take gelatin (2 g) and water (10 g).

Preparation

1. Pour sugar into a saucepan and place on low heat. The mixture should be amber-colored.

2. When the sugar has melted, pour in the cream and mix thoroughly.

If caramel is to be used as a filling for a cake, then gelatin soaked in water is additionally added.

3. Then turn off the heat. Add butter and beat the mixture with a blender. When the caramel reaches the state of emulsion, pour it into jars and put it in the refrigerator, where it should harden.
