An interesting beetroot salad for those who are tired of fur coat and vinaigrette

If you still think that beets can only be used to make the notorious herring under a fur coat and vinaigrette, we hasten to dissuade you.

Roasted beet salad with chicken, nuts and garlic may become your favorite appetizer.

To prepare it you will need:

  • 3 beets (choose medium-sized fruits);
  • 400 g chicken fillet (the weight of the cooked product is indicated);
  • 3 cloves of garlic;
  • 50-80 g walnuts;
  • a few tablespoons of mayonnaise.

First, you need to bake the beets. To do this, wrap the root vegetables in foil and put them in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Here they will spend about 45-50 minutes.

After the vegetables have cooled, peel them and cut them into small cubes.

The same should be done with boiled chicken.

The garlic needs to be crushed and the walnuts chopped with a knife.

After this, fry the nuts in a frying pan without adding oil and combine all the ingredients together.

All that remains is to season the salad with mayonnaise, add a pinch of salt (if necessary) and mix the ingredients.
