How to cook capelin: a recipe for a juicy dish without a drop of oil

It is noteworthy that it contains more vitamins B12, A and D than meat. Capelin is rich in bromine, sodium, potassium and phosphorus.

Capelin was very popular in the USSR. It cost pennies, and it was very easy to cook. You don't have to fry it, you can just bake it in the oven without a drop of oil.

Ingredients:

  • capelin – 1 kg;
  • flour – 2 tablespoons;
  • salt and pepper (to taste).

Preparation

1. The capelin is gutted. The fish is rinsed and dried.

2. The secret of aromatic capelin without a characteristic smell is hidden in the marinade. It is prepared from lemon juice, various spices and herbs. Marinate the fish for 30 minutes.

To prepare the marinade, you can take 80 ml of lemon juice, 6 tsp of salt, 60 g of granulated sugar, 4 cloves of garlic, 2 onions, dill, mustard, and black pepper.

3. But you can skip marinating and start baking right away, adding salt, pepper and rolling the fish in flour.

3. Place the capelin on a baking tray. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake for 20-30 minutes.
