How to Make Homemade Lemonade: A Drink That's Much Tastier and Healthier Than Store-Bought

Many caring housewives have long since given up buying store-bought lemonade.

Instead, they treat their families to homemade lemonade, which can be called a real “elixir of health” – it contains so many useful properties.

To prepare it you will need the simplest ingredients – lemon juice and sugar.

To extract the juice, you need to thoroughly wash the lemons using baking soda, and then scald the fruit with boiling water.

Peel the citrus fruits and cut the lemons into slices, removing the seeds at the same time.

All that remains is to squeeze out the juice – it is most convenient to do this in a juicer, but you can also do it manually – however, in this case, there is no talk of saving, because a large amount of pulp, which contains juice, is sent to the trash.

Pour the resulting juice into a deep bowl and add sugar - for a liter of juice you will need 1.3 kg of granulated sugar.

The hardest part is yet to come – you will have to stir the juice until the sugar is completely dissolved. Sometimes it takes a day. Of course, you shouldn’t stir it continuously for 24 hours – it’s enough to remember about the lemonade once every 1-1.5 hours.

Store the resulting syrup in a clean and dry bottle on the refrigerator door. To prepare a healing drink, pour a small amount of syrup into a glass and top it up with regular or mineral water.
