What is the secret of school cutlets: a simple recipe

As you know, the cutlets served for lunch at school consist of almost half bread.

This option not only allows you to save a lot of money, but also makes the dish easy to digest.

To recreate school cutlets in your own kitchen, you will need:

  • 250 g beef,
  • 250 g pork,
  • 400 g black bread,
  • 1 egg,
  • 1 onion,
  • 5 tbsp breadcrumbs,
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil,
  • Salt – to taste.

You need to cut off all the crusts from the bread and cut it into cubes, then pour cold water over it and leave it for about 15 minutes.

Peel the onion and chop finely, then fry in a frying pan until the vegetable acquires a pleasant golden color.

The meat, onion and bread, thoroughly squeezed out of water, need to be passed through a meat grinder.

The resulting mass for molding cutlets must be thoroughly mixed, salted and beaten on a hard surface.

Form the minced meat into patties about 15 mm thick and roll them in breadcrumbs, then fry in a frying pan with a little oil.
