Profiteroles with the most delicate chicken mousse are guaranteed to become the highlight of your holiday table.

Despite the pretentious name, this appetizer is easy to prepare.

In addition, you can bake profiteroles in advance or use ready-made ones from the store. In this case, preparing the treat will take a minimum of time and effort.

For the filling you will need:

  • 300 g boiled chicken;
  • 100 ml heavy cream;
  • 50 g mushrooms;
  • 1 onion;
  • 30 g butter;
  • salt and spices – to taste.

First, boil the chicken. For the mousse, you only need the meat, so you can safely use the remaining broth as a base for a variety of soups.

Next in line is the onion. It should be peeled, chopped and fried in a frying pan with the addition of butter.

Place all ingredients (except cream) in a blender and blend until smooth.

The cream should be whipped separately into a fluffy mass, and then combined with the other ingredients, add salt, pepper and your favorite herbs, after which you can start making the filling.
