After the New Year holidays, it’s time to please your body with not just tasty, but also healthy food, among which broccoli has no equal – that’s a fact.
It sounds scary, but instead of boring side dishes and potatoes, broccoli puree will do the job perfectly.
The whole thing will take about 20 minutes, no more.
A tasty puree will be obtained from brightly colored cabbage, the inflorescences of which are elastic and dense. You can also cook it from frozen broccoli, without defrosting the vegetable.
The whole head of cabbage is taken apart into inflorescences, all excess is removed, placed in a saucepan, filled with water and boiled for 10-12 minutes.
Then the water is drained and the softened cabbage is ground into a puree using a blender.
When ready, add cream or sour cream to the puree and beat again until smooth.
To liven up the puree, you can add crushed garlic (it’s better to put it through a press) or a pinch of ground ginger.
Broccoli puree can be served as a side dish with seafood, fish, meat, or as a main dish.
Bon appetit!
