According to experts, wearing diapers for a long time has a negative impact on the development of a child’s speech.
Speech therapist and defectologist Inna Sipkina told Lady mail.ru how diapers affect children's development.
What's the problem?
The expert draws attention to the development of the nervous system of young children.
Under natural conditions, a child understands that he needs to start asking to go to the toilet, and he learns to do it.
But constant wearing of diapers leads to the fact that children at three years old do not know how to speak, or go to the potty, or even imagine how to ask to go to the toilet with gestures.
As a result, the child’s speech development is disrupted, and diapers are, if not the cause, then one of the factors.
What should parents do?
Parents should start potty training their children early, weaning them off diapers.
Thanks to this, children begin to understand what they want, express and voice their desires.
If you start this at a later age, the child may not want to do it and learning will take more time.
Therefore, it is important to remember that a child’s development occurs in a certain order, the stages of which are prescribed by nature itself.
