Perhaps the main question that worries parents of babies under one year old in the summer is: “How to feed a child if it’s hot outside?”
In fact, this is not something to worry about: if you follow the advice of your pediatrician, there will be no problems.
If you are breastfeeding, you need to follow the following rules.
Offer your baby the breast more often, especially in the morning and evening hours.
It is worth putting the baby to the breast on demand: the first milk from a full breast contains a large amount of water and therefore quenches thirst well.
Before starting to feed, the mother should drink a glass of water to ensure that she herself consumes enough fluid.
Even if it is hot outside, the volume of feedings on artificial feeding should remain the same. Additionally, it is worth offering the baby water, but if he does not drink, do not insist - most likely, he gets enough liquid.
Important: in hot weather, the prepared mixture should be used immediately - after 10-15 minutes without a refrigerator, the product may become unsuitable for drinking.
