Modern parents are deprived of such "joys" as fussing with diapers. But there were times when the balcony was hung with them and at the same time diapers dried on clotheslines in the bathroom.
It's much easier with diapers. Of course, grandmothers still scare us with some future consequences that may arise from using them.
In reality, consequences can only arise if parents do not change diapers regularly.
Let's find out how to do it correctly.
Most young mothers and fathers prefer to change their babies' diapers as they become full or after a bowel movement, as well as in the morning if the child slept in a diaper all night and did not wake anyone up.
In fact, the replacement is carried out according to time and taking into account the age of the newborn.
1. For children aged 0 to 3 months, diapers are changed every 3-4 hours.
If the baby sleeps all night, then they can be changed less frequently at night, but you also can’t wait until the diaper is full to capacity.
2. For a child aged 3 to 6 months, one diaper can last up to 6 hours, if it doesn’t get dirty earlier.
3. From 6 to 12 months, it all depends on how full the diaper is. It can be difficult to predict the frequency of replacement here – it is an individual process.
However, it is desirable that the child be in diapers for no more than six hours during the day.
If you neglect this rule, irritation on the child’s skin cannot be avoided.
