If you find an unclaimed pack of baby food in your “storerooms” that can no longer be used for its intended purpose, do not rush to throw it away.

Instead, put the mixture to good use, such as making delicious, golden-brown pancakes.

Take a deep container, pour 500 ml of warm water into it, add 10 measuring spoons of the mixture and mix thoroughly until the powder is completely dissolved.

Then beat two eggs, add salt (a quarter teaspoon of salt is enough), add 2 tablespoons of sugar and beat with a whisk or mixer.

Gradually add flour - you will need 10 tablespoons of it, stirring carefully so that there are no lumps.

Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil and mix again. The consistency of the dough should resemble liquid sour cream or kefir.

Fry the pancakes in a hot frying pan for one minute on each side. If desired, grease the finished pancakes with butter. Serve with sour cream, jam, condensed milk or preserves.

Can you give these pancakes to children?

Adding baby formula to the dough does not automatically make the dish suitable for children - if the baby is not yet a year old and you are just introducing complementary foods, you should not give the child such a complex, fried and hard on the stomach dish.

If the child is already one and a half years old, you can offer him a small piece. He can eat a whole pancake no earlier than two or even three years - this depends on the baby's digestive characteristics.

Earlier we talked about whether it is normal for a child to be afraid of loud sounds.
