“Newly-made” mothers often face the problem when their baby does not want to give up spoon feeding and sit down at the table to eat using cutlery.
We will share with you a number of ways that will help make your child want to eat on his own.
1. To begin with, try not to complicate your life and allow your child to eat on his own when he really wants to.
2. Consider your child's individual preferences - it is unlikely that a child will eat something he or she does not like. But you should not go too far in this matter: do not feed children "harmful" food, but try to reach a consensus on this issue.
3. Let the meal be accompanied by small elementary games like spoon for mom or flying airplane.
4. Don’t be lazy in decorating dishes, and if you don’t have time for that, at least buy some beautiful dishes with children’s drawings for it.
Pay attention to the color of the plates: warm shades of red, yellow and orange are believed to encourage eating, as are all shades of blue.
5. Avoid multiple snacks – as a rule, a one-year-old child needs breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner, as well as one night feeding.
Earlier we talked about how to understand that a child is ready to go to school.
