If there are no health problems or signs of pathology, then you can make an appointment with an orthodontist when the child is about 2.5-3 years old.

This advice was given by Dr. Olga Lebedeva, reports the publication “ Gazeta.Ru ”.

As the dentist explained, the doctor must evaluate the dental row and possible problems.

If everything is fine, the next visit can be scheduled during the period of changing baby teeth, and then at 11-12 years.

All other options are considered individually.

Malocclusions cannot be ignored.

This can lead to problems with diction, pain, enamel wear, and in this case, caries can often bother you, and problems with the temporomandibular joint also arise.

The doctor added that an incorrect bite affects the aesthetic characteristics of the teeth, and this can ultimately reduce self-esteem and lead to complexes.

Earlier we talked about what to do if a child is afraid of the dentist.
