How to teach a child to get ready for school independently: what moms and dads need to know
Every child should be taught to be independent.
The easiest way is to start by having him get ready for school himself.
If a schoolchild is used to his mom or dad always doing it for him, then you shouldn't think that you will be able to achieve a good result right away. It is important to be patient.
Gradually, you need to transfer responsibility for your things to him. He must figure out for himself what he absolutely must put in his backpack and what he must leave at home.
For the child's convenience, you can hang a list of things that should be in the backpack in front of his eyes.
It would not be a bad idea to schedule such a calendar for each day so that it coincides with the schedule.
After a few weeks the list can be removed.
If a child always gets ready for school on his own, but suddenly stops doing this or starts constantly forgetting things around the house, then this is a reason to worry.
