What to do if a child draws on the walls: scold, shout or accept?

Probably all young parents are familiar with the expression “Nothing decorates an apartment like a small child with markers.”

If you have also found yourself in a situation where your child used freshly pasted wallpaper instead of an easel, the tips below will certainly be of use to you.

To start with, to make your home safe and not discourage your child from drawing, work on creating your child's own creative space.

This could be a feeding table, a side chair that fits an adult table, or a set of children's furniture. The main condition is that the baby can easily reach paper, pencils, and markers.

It wouldn't hurt to buy a children's easel. The best option is a model with a double-sided coating or an easel with a roll of paper.

Invite your little one to draw in the bathroom using finger paints – they are easy to wash off the bathtub, tiles and body.

Another great idea is to give your child a large cardboard box to tear apart, for example, left over from a TV. Put your son or daughter inside the box and show that they can draw everywhere – on the walls and the bottom.

And, of course, don't forget to teach your child to be neat. Before drawing, ask him to put on an apron, and after finishing the process, ask him to put away his art supplies.
