Many tea lovers always add a slice of lemon to their drink.

And this is correct. Firstly, thanks to such an additive, the drink acquires a very bright and pleasant taste.

Secondly, the drink becomes much more useful.

Thus, due to lemon juice, the antioxidant activity of tea increases.

But when adding a piece of citrus fruit to a drink, many people make a big mistake.

As a result, the drink does not acquire any new beneficial properties. In other words, the lemon additive becomes meaningless in terms of turning tea into a healthier drink.

How not to add lemon to tea

Many people do this too early: they throw a slice of lemon into the tea immediately after it starts brewing.

This is very bad: too much heat deprives lemon juice of antioxidants.

To prevent this from happening, wait until the tea becomes slightly less hot.

The maximum permissible temperature of a drink into which a piece of citrus fruit can be added is 70 degrees.

If you follow this condition, tea with lemon will be as beneficial as possible.
