Scientists from Canada, Israel and the USA, in an experiment involving men aged 50-72, proved that food, good sleep and moderate physical activity can improve well-being and “rejuvenate” the body.
The researchers monitored the health and well-being of 43 subjects.
The men had to follow a diet for two months.
The list of permitted products included lean fish and meat, fruits and vegetables. Drinks included water and green tea.
Alcohol and cigarettes, as well as sweets and dairy products, were banned. By the way, eating was only allowed between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
In addition, the participants in the study took probiotics and phytonutrients and exercised intensively: at least 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week.
Another condition was to perform breathing exercises and sleep for at least 7 hours.
As a result, it was found that the subjects “looked younger” by approximately 3 years compared to the control group, whose participants maintained their normal lifestyle, and by 2 years compared to their own indicators.
