Things You Can't Clean With Baking Soda: You Have No Idea

Many housewives resort to baking soda when they need help in cooking or cleaning.

And this is not surprising, because this product has the ability to remove grease, fight unpleasant odors and get rid of stubborn stains.

However, for some surfaces, soda is on the stop list: its use can cause serious damage, which, unfortunately, cannot be repaired.

Glass and mirrors

Glass surfaces are sensitive to abrasives. Soda can leave micro-scratches on them. Over time, they become clogged with dirt, there are more and more of them, which is why the glass and mirrors become dull, their transparency decreases, and the reflection becomes less clear.

Instead, it is recommended to use a special product or a solution of vinegar and water in combination with a microfiber cloth.

Wooden surfaces

Wood has natural beauty, but it requires special care. Using baking soda to clean wooden objects can damage the protective coating. As a result, the wood becomes susceptible to moisture, stains and deformation. The appearance of the wood deteriorates, it loses its shine and becomes scuffed.

The best way to clean such surfaces is a mild detergent or special polish. Wooden utensils are recommended to be washed with a sponge and warm water.

Aluminum cookware

Even if something is burnt in an aluminum frying pan or saucepan, do not rush to grab a pack of soda - it leads to oxidation of the surface. As a result, stains appear, the dishes become discolored and generally wear out.

A special product or a soft compound that needs to be applied with a sponge will help you remove dirt.
