You need to take care of the pea harvest in June – it will be too late to correct the situation in August.
Not all summer residents manage to grow a solid harvest of peas the first time.
Often the plant disappoints with small pods containing hard and dry beans.
There are two main reasons why this happens. They play a decisive role at the very beginning of plant development. Subsequently, there is no point in taking any measures, since the harvest is lost.
Therefore, it is necessary to act at the beginning of summer. Firstly, peas need regular watering. Lack of water can lead to yellowing.
Secondly, peas need a lot of nitrogen. It is easy to replenish the supply. It is enough to water the plants with liquid fertilizer.
For example, you need to mix mullein with water (1:1), leave it for 3-5 days in a warm place. The finished fertilizer needs to be diluted with water - 10 liters for each liter of infusion.
It is best to apply nitrogen fertilizers while the peas are small, and not when they have already begun to turn yellow.
