Why you shouldn't wash the floor with hot water: only inexperienced housewives make this mistake

As you know, hot water copes with a wide variety of contaminants, successfully dissolving grease and dirt.

Even in the shower, it is customary to turn on the water warmer - this temperature, firstly, is very comfortable, and secondly, helps the products to foam well.

Finally, no one would think of washing dishes with cold water - in this case, the plates will simply remain dirty.

When cleaning, it would seem that we should do exactly the same: when using a floor cleaner, many of us think that warm water should splash in a bucket.

In fact, this is not entirely true.

If you wash the floor with hot (or very warm) water, the floor covering will dry very quickly.

Now imagine: household chemicals were added to the water used to wash the floors – as a result, the product will remain on the surface in the form of plaque and streaks.

For this reason, using hot water when cleaning the floor is not recommended, as it may impair the cleaning results.

If the floor is very dirty, the use of hot water may be justified, but after this it is necessary to rinse the surface with cool water to remove any remaining detergent and anything that has dried too quickly.

This rule applies to all cleaning methods: manually, using a mop or a swab. You should also use cool water when cleaning with a robotic vacuum cleaner - the result will only be better.
