Cleaning is an integral part of our lives, but sometimes circumstances can catch us by surprise.

Lack of funds, time, or the ability to go to the store for household chemicals can create difficulties in cleaning.

In such situations, it is worth turning to folk methods that our ancestors used for help, for example, this one.

Remedy for unpleasant odor from pipes

To help you overcome the battle against unpleasant odors coming from your sink or drain, try using the following mixture.

To prepare it, mix equal parts baking soda and white vinegar. Pour this mixture down the drain and add hot water on top – as a result, you will dissolve the grease and get rid of the stench.

There is another method that requires boiling water in a saucepan with a few pieces of lemon or orange peel and pouring this concoction down the drain (after it has cooled down a bit).

This product also neutralizes dirt and effectively combats odors.

Last but not least on the list is a mixture of equal parts baking soda, lemon juice (or vinegar) and salt. Like the others, it works great to remove clogs and stench.
