Even with careful care, cutlery will eventually accumulate a film of dirt and food residue.

In such a situation, you have three options: despair and give up, buy a new set of forks and spoons, or try a quick and effective method that will restore the lost shine to your cutlery.

If you decide to choose the latter option, which would be logical, start by preparing a cleaning solution.

It consists of 2 liters of hot water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Stir the solution well until the soda is completely dissolved.

To enhance the properties of the cleaning solution, add 2 tablespoons of table salt and 1 tablespoon of citric acid to it.

But at this stage, the solution should be mixed again, after which the contaminated devices should be placed in it.

Make sure that the liquid covers them completely. Knives, forks and spoons should lie in the solution for about half an hour, after which they should be wiped with a soft sponge and rinsed under running clean water.

This method can be used for devices made of stainless steel, aluminum and nickel silver.
