Everyone has heard about the harm of re-boiling water, but few can say what exactly it is.
The administration of the Frunzensky district of Minsk has once again named six reasons not to boil water.
Firstly, repeated boiling deteriorates the taste of water.
Secondly, with each boiling the content of useful substances in the water decreases.
Thirdly, with each boiling, the water contains less and less oxygen and more and more salts and impurities.
Fourthly, with each boiling the concentration of carcinogens in the water increases.
Fifthly, re-boiling leads to increased scale formation in the kettle.
Sixthly, when re-boiling occurs, the hydrogen isotope precipitates and toxic deuterium is formed.
It is healthier and safer to use new fresh water for each boiling, the Frunzensky District Administration recommended.
