Removing rust from bolts and nuts in an hour without using special tools is a completely realistic task.
We'll tell you how to make an effective rust remover from ingredients you have on hand.
You will need: hydrogen peroxide, citric acid and regular table salt.
For 10 milliliters of peroxide you need 35-40 grams of citric acid and 7-10 grams of salt.
Place the items that need to be cleaned of rust in a glass jar and fill it with the resulting solution.
In 5-10 minutes the reaction will begin, the jar will heat up. In about 40 minutes the solution will darken, and in an hour there will be no trace of rust.
Rust can also be removed using 70% acetic acid or an aqueous solution of citric acid (50 grams of citric acid per 200 ml of water), but this will take more time.
