Laminate flooring is a worthy competitor to parquet, but it requires proper care, otherwise the lamellas will become deformed and, accordingly, will lose their attractive appearance.

Can you clean laminate flooring with a steam mop?
A steam mop is known to clean surfaces using hot steam.
However, such exposure – high temperature and humidity – can lead to deformation of the lamellas and destruction of the laminated layer.
For this reason, the steam mop is only permitted to be used on moisture-resistant material of class 31 or higher, which is laid in a locking manner and has sealed seams.
But even in this case, the processing power should be minimal, and such cleaning should be carried out as rarely as possible.
What else should not be used to clean laminate
The laminated base may be damaged if other cleaning agents are used that are not suitable for cleaning it.
Let's list them: these are hard brushes and abrasive substances that scratch the top protective layer, compounds with ammonia and chlorine that destroy the lamination and discolor the decorative layer, as well as aggressive acids and alkalis that dissolve the protective layer of the material.
