We agree that a good paint roller is not cheap, but you shouldn’t skimp on it – with proper care it will serve you for many years.
The only exception is probably a foam roller, which is easier to throw away than to clean off paint. Even if you manage to do this, when the roller dries, it will start to streak, applying paint in uneven layers.
Today we invite you to learn about methods that will help clean this tool from one of the most common types of paint – water-soluble.
Important note: the sooner you start the cleaning step, the less effort you will ultimately have to put in.
Let's start with fresh paint. To remove its remains, just remove the cylinder from the handle and rinse in running water for about ten minutes. The liquid should be cold.
Once you see that the water has stopped turning the same color as the paint, squeeze out the roller and leave it “alone” to dry.
What to do if the paint has dried out? It's no less simple - the roller should be left to soak in water, the temperature of which is approximately 40 degrees.
As a result, the paint will soften and eventually come off the pile on its own.
