Many people believe that on Easter one should visit not only the church, but also the graves of relatives.
However, the clergy have a different opinion about visiting the cemetery on Easter.
The Church does not prohibit visiting the cemetery on Easter, but it is better to do this on specially designated days.
Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ; on this day it is customary not to grieve, but to rejoice.
On Easter, people go to church and meet with family and friends at the festive table.
The cemetery is visited on special days to commemorate the deceased. The closest such day is Radunitsa (May 14).
