Of course, you can remove stains and odors from your mattress by contacting a dry cleaner, but sometimes this is not necessary at all – you can clean it yourself.

What Not to Use to Clean a Mattress

If you are planning to clean your mattress at home, beware of products that produce strong foam.

The whole point is that the foam literally “eats” into the surface being cleaned, which makes it very difficult to remove. If you fail to get rid of the foam, it is quite possible that an allergy will develop.

Bleaching agents are also prohibited, especially those containing chlorine: firstly, they have a strong odor, and secondly, they lead to the destruction of synthetic fibers.

First, vacuum the product from all sides. It will be better if you do this with a construction vacuum cleaner.

To clean the mattress, you can use the most common washing powder or other detergent, which should be diluted in 70-80 degree water.

The proportions are as follows: approximately 1 teaspoon of cleaning solution per liter of water. Pour the resulting mixture into a spray bottle and apply to the contaminated areas.

Alternatively, use a regular sponge to apply the composition. The main thing is not to rub the fabric too hard, so that pellets do not form.

After this, remove the foam with special microfiber cloths.

Earlier we talked about why you should wash tulle with salt.
