Housewives are in no hurry to part with cast iron pans, even if the kitchen has utensils with a non-stick coating.
A cast iron frying pan can be called eternal. It is the most durable material that is not afraid of almost anything. But sometimes food starts to stick.
Let's find out what to do in such a case and how to turn an ordinary cast iron pan into a non-stick frying pan.
1. Wash the dishes, remove any food residue and grease, as well as carbon deposits and rusty deposits.
2. Heat over a fire after washing to evaporate any remaining moisture. This can be done on the stove or in an oven preheated to 120 degrees.
3. Take vegetable oil, moisten a sponge or cloth with it and apply the oil to the frying pan – the bottom and sides in a thin layer.
4. Place on fire and heat for 10-15 minutes, then let cool naturally.
5. Any remaining oil should be collected with a paper napkin.
But you need to remember that after washing with household chemicals, the whole process will need to be repeated again.
