How to pack things compactly: the garbage bag method is the best one yet

Packing and storing bulky items like blankets, jackets, or winter sweaters can be a bit of a challenge.

True, difficulties await only “inexperienced” housewives, while experienced women have long known a couple of life hacks that help make the process easier.

According to one of them, the volume of these items can be significantly reduced for more compact storage using special vacuum bags.

Simply place the item in the bag, close the zipper, insert the vacuum cleaner tube into the special valve of the bag and start the vacuum cleaner.

Once the device has removed the air from the bag, the item inside will shrink significantly. Once the process is complete, simply close the valve.

But if you haven't had time to get a special vacuum bag, don't worry - you can still use a vacuum cleaner to compress bulky items.

To do this, use a regular, thick garbage bag of the appropriate size.

Make sure the bag is new and has no holes. Place the garment or blanket in the bag, then insert the vacuum cleaner tube into the bag.

While holding the bag, suck out the air with a vacuum cleaner, then tie the bag tightly to prevent air from getting back inside.

Earlier we talked about where you can store things in the hallway if there is no space in the closet.
