However, over time, especially with active use, the carpet pile can become crushed, which negatively affects its appearance and functionality.
We offer you various methods that will help return the carpet to its original appearance and restore the crushed pile.
Ice
If the crushed pile areas are small in area, they can be easily dealt with using ice. You just need to put a piece of ice on the place where the pile is crushed and wait until the ice melts.
After this, the pile will become soft and will be easy to return to its original state.
The same method can be used when the damage is quite large, although more ice will also be needed.
Place ice on the area that requires restoration and leave it overnight, and in the morning, when the surface of the product has softened, straighten the threads with a regular fork.
Iron
Steam from an iron can also help solve this problem.
To eliminate the problem, you need to direct a stream of steam to the damaged area, but do not touch the carpet itself, so as not to damage it.
When the pile becomes damp, smooth it out with a fork.
