If the product is made of natural fibers, for example, wool, then you need to approach the cleaning process with special care and caution.
When vacuuming such a carpet, you need to use a smooth attachment without a brush so as not to damage the pile.
If there are stains and streaks, you need to get rid of them immediately. Old stains are much more difficult to remove.
Dry cleaning should be used. There is a risk that water, aggressive cleaning agents and even steam can only leave additional marks and dirt on the fibers.
If the carpet contains silk or viscose, they may tear due to water accumulation, resulting in a bald spot, and the bright colors of the product will also suffer.
You can't do without special tools here.
It is acceptable to use improvised means. For example, salt will help get rid of fresh stains from spilled drinks.
It is enough to pour the product on the stain, leave it for 15 minutes, and then collect the remaining product with a vacuum cleaner.
By the way, instead of salt you can use flour, soda, crushed chalk, or any dry bulk mixture.
It is also permissible to use table vinegar during cleaning when it is necessary to discolor stains.
It is enough to soak a cotton pad in vinegar and leave it on the stain for 5-10 minutes. After that, wipe the carpet with a dry cloth.
