It's one thing to wash a tablecloth after a meal and quite another to tidy up a carpet.
Here, after the holidays, at best, bread crumbs remain. But often there are stains from tea, coffee or red wine.
Let's find out whether it's possible to deal with the stain without leaving home, or whether you'll still have to take the carpet to the dry cleaners.
Proceed as follows:
If the stain leaves a mark on the carpet, remove it with hydrogen peroxide.
Alternatively, you can simply sprinkle salt on the stain and leave it for 20 minutes, then vacuum the carpet.
The dried stain can first be moistened with warm water and then sprinkled with salt.
