A tumble dryer is every housewife's dream. No more fuss with hanging clothes and linen, and most importantly - no dampness in the house.
But not everything can be dried this way. For example, a down jacket. Let's figure out whether it can be dried in a tumble dryer, because not every jacket can be washed in automatic mode.
In general, it does not matter whether the down jacket was washed by hand or in the washing machine. The important thing is that the wet jacket needs to be dried.
And if you do it carelessly, the filling will become lumpy and the clothes will not be as warm.
1. First, you need to study the contents of the label to see if the manufacturer prohibits machine drying.
2. If it is not prohibited, the down jacket is placed in the dryer without other items.
3. It is important that the jacket lies loosely in the drum.
4. It is necessary to turn it inside out and also fasten the zippers and buttons.
5. As with machine washing, you need to put special balls or tennis balls in the dryer along with the jacket.
6. Drying is carried out at a temperature of 30-60 degrees for 40-60 minutes. If necessary, extend the process until the clothes are completely dry.
7. After this, you need to hang the jacket on a hanger and let it dry in the air for 24 hours.
Dry the jacket in a horizontal position away from heaters and heating devices.
The jacket needs to be shaken periodically to prevent the filling from becoming compacted.
Life hacks include drying with a hair dryer, fan, and even a vacuum cleaner.
