Many people buy things from second-hand stores for a well-known reason: it’s cheap and relatively high-quality clothing.
But there is one major problem, which is the smell of things. It is relatively difficult to wash.
To remove unpleasant odors, you don’t need to buy another washing powder or use special products.
It turns out there's an easier way to remove formaldehyde smell using products you already have in your kitchen.
You need to take 100 ml of vinegar, 10 liters of hot water and 50 grams of soda. Dissolve it all in water and soak the items overnight or for 8 hours.
The clothes can then be washed or rinsed thoroughly. Re-washing may not be necessary.
Ammonia also works well against the smell of formaldehyde. Mix 10 ml of 5% ammonia with 5 liters of hot water. It is enough to soak the clothes in this mixture for an hour.
