What you should never flush down the toilet: you can clog the pipe

A clogged sink is fairly easy to clear, but the same cannot be said for a toilet – in most cases you have to call a plumber.

This is one of the main reasons why you should only flush down the toilet what your municipal services allow.

Otherwise, you will have to deal with a rather unpleasant problem.

What things should not be thrown into the toilet and flushed

Here are some examples.

1. Cotton pads and swabs. Cotton wool products should never be sent to the toilet, as they swell and clog the pipe.
2. Wet wipes for children. They can also cause clogs.
3. Pads and tampons. They absorb moisture too well.
4. Diapers. They will instantly "clog" the pipe.
5. Paper towels. Unlike toilet paper, they do not dissolve.
6. Dental floss. It also does not dissolve in water.
