Glass lids seem to many to be a practical and quite aesthetic solution for the kitchen.
With their help, you can always assess the degree of readiness of food without opening the pot or frying pan.
However, cleaning glass from grease is not the easiest task.
Contamination can "hide" in very hard-to-reach places. However, there is a method that will help you cope with the task without much effort.
You will need to prepare a convenient, capacious container that will accommodate even a bulky lid. As a rule, a basin will do the job best.
We add two spoons of soda into it.
You also need to add one large spoon of any detergent and mustard powder. Pour in hot water. It is best to use boiling water.
We make sure that all the ingredients are dissolved. We send our lids for literally fifteen minutes. Then we process the rim with a toothbrush.
We wipe off the remaining traces of fat with a sponge.
We pour water over it and evaluate the result.
