First, books. By hiding banknotes in books, people think that thieves will not look through each one.
And they won't actually do that, they'll just throw all the books off the shelves onto the floor.
Thieves will do the same with your clothes and underwear. And they won't hesitate to rummage through dirty laundry.
You should also not hide cash under or in your mattress, in jars of cereals, or behind paintings and mirrors.
