White stains on shoes are a common occurrence in the cold season, when slippery roads are sprinkled with reagents to somehow remove the icy crust from the roadway and sidewalks.

Getting rid of this kind of dirt is not so easy, especially if you have to clean suede shoes.

However, if you use the method from this article, then it is quite possible that the unenviable situation with boots can be corrected.

Let's start with a less problematic situation - when stains on shoes have appeared recently and are still fresh.

Try removing them by wiping with a solution of one part ammonia and four parts water.

In the same case, if the salt marks are already old, the same ammonia will help, although in a higher concentration.

An analogue of ammonia is table vinegar, but in both cases, test the cleaning agents on an inconspicuous area of the shoe to be sure that you will not damage the material.

The final touch is to thoroughly dry the pair and brush it to smooth out the pile.
