UNICEF names number of Palestinian children killed in Gaza conflict
Several thousand Palestinian minors became victims of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that escalated in October.
More than 5,300 children have died in the Gaza Strip since the current conflict began.
These data were released by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The information was shared by a representative of the international organization, Catherine Russell.
Before the pause, more than 5,300 Palestinian children died in 48 days of incessant bombing, MIA " Russia Today " quotes the UNICEF director as saying.
Russell stressed that the statistics do not include children whose possible deaths have not been confirmed.
We are talking about little Palestinians who went missing during the conflict and may be buried under the rubble.
In other words, the death toll among Gaza's minors could be much higher than 5,300.
As a UNICEF representative stated, the return of the conflict to a hot phase is fraught with an increase in the number of dead and injured children (by several hundred daily).
The total number of people killed since the beginning of the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is more than 17 thousand.
