To determine whether a persimmon is astringent or not, you need to pay attention to three signs.
We tell you how to choose sweet persimmons in a store or at the market.
As reported by Argumenty i Fakty v Belarusi, citing the director of a fruit, vegetable and berry store, Elena Zubovich, when choosing a persimmon, you need to focus on its appearance, variety and country of origin.
According to Zubovich, sweet persimmons are brought to Belarus from Spain (varieties “Don Manuel”, “Perfecto”), Uzbekistan (“Korolek”) and Azerbaijan (“Bull’s Heart”).
Also, the varieties "Triumph", "Nakhodka", "Giro", "Medovaya", "Romashka" are not knitted.
As for the appearance, you need to look at the color (it should be rich), softness (hard persimmon will be tart), pericarp leaves (should be dried) and shape (it is better to take round or flattened fruits).
